And finally, Search is where you, well, search for any music you want.

Up Next is an application dedicated to the emerging artists who will become famous around the world in the coming years. But Up Next is something more than that as Apple explains:

a multimedia program series featuring musical artists distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media.”

Apple focuses its attention on musicians to create a one-to-millions social network for artists to share bits of music, photos and videos with their fans.

Rise is an emerging artist program that leverages the platform’s promotional resources for a hand-picked roster of up-and-coming musicians. Its aim is to support a total of 16 up-and-coming artists every calendar year. It’s similar to Apple Music’s Up Next that shows an artist on the rise every month including video content about the artist’s personal journey, live performances, and interviews. The Up Next page also includes the artist’s featured songs and albums, as well as playlists related to their work.

For now the RISE roster contains predominantly indie and unsigned artists such as German pop dynamo Kim Petras, an 18-year-old Ohio-born rapper Trippie Redd and country singer Russel Dickerson. Spotify’ support to new artists has not the aim to own copyrights on them and Spotify will not take cuts of RISE artists’ touring and merchandise. It’s a service supporting new music for new artists to offer to its audience a wide range of different singers.
